제가 처음부터 음악가의 길을 걷겠다고 거창한 꿈을 가졌던 것은 아니었습니다. 우연히 듣게 된 누군가의 음악이 제 마음을 깊게 울렸고, ‘나도 누군가에게 감동을 주는 곡을 만들어보고 싶다’는 작은 이끌림이 지금 저의 음악 여정을 시작하게 한 소중한 씨앗이 되었습니다.
그렇게 시작한 작곡 과정에서 수많은 어려움과 난관에 부딪히기도 했지만, 이를 극복하고 계속 나아갈 수 있었던 원동력은 다름 아닌 '음악이 가진 힘'이었습니다. 제 곡들은 지나온 제 과거의 이야기들을 바탕으로 선율을 자아낸 결과물입니다. 돌아보면 행복했던 기억보다는 가슴 아픈 기억들이 더 많았기에, 어쩌면 제 음악이 여러분께 다소 어둡고 슬프게 다가갈지도 모르겠습니다. 하지만 이번에 발매된 1st Mini Album은 최대한 밝고 희망찬 곡들로 구성했습니다. 이어질 2nd Mini Album에는 본격적으로 저의 지난 과거를 회상한 곡들이 실릴 예정입니다.
돌이켜보면, 저의 첫 곡이 세상에 나왔을 때의 그 벅찬 기쁨과 감동은 평생 잊지 못할 것입니다. 제가 다른 누군가의 음악을 통해 큰 위로를 얻고 제 인생의 벅찬 전환점을 맞이했듯이, 저의 음악을 들어주시는 분들의 삶 속에서도 이 선율이 따뜻한 위로이자 작지만 의미 있는 전환점이 될 수 있기를 진심으로 바랍니다.
Hello, this is artist Lee Hyung Suk. I would like to share the story behind my musical journey and the thoughts I've gathered along the way.
I didn't start with a grand dream of becoming a musician from the very beginning. By chance, a piece of music I heard resonated deeply within my heart, and a small desire—'I want to write music that moves others, too'—became the precious seed that sparked my journey today.
Though I encountered countless challenges and hurdles while learning to compose, the driving force that helped me overcome them and keep moving forward was none other than the 'power of music.' My tracks are the result of weaving melodies drawn from the stories of my past. Looking back, I had more heartbreaking memories than happy ones, which is why my music might come across as somewhat dark and melancholic to you. However, my newly released 1st Mini Album is filled with bright and hopeful tracks. The upcoming 2nd Mini Album, on the other hand, will feature songs that deeply reflect on my past.
I will never forget the overwhelming joy and emotion I felt when my very first song was released into the world. Just as I found profound comfort and a significant turning point in my life through someone else's music, I sincerely hope that my melodies can bring warm comfort and serve as a small but meaningful turning point in the lives of those who listen.
